Thoughts from the MODE Family on the Contest So Far

Real Figures Don’t F.O.L.D – the first and possibly only promotion of its kind – continues to build momentum. As an independent panel of judges is carefully evaluating the entries, CATAWOL Records is sharing thoughts from the MODE Family, whose support and engagement have been central to the Contest.

With the Knockouts Stage complete, anticipation is building over which Acts will go head-to-head in the Finals.

However, due to the judges’ decision and the thoroughness and care they are taking, the Finals - originally slated for August 1st - will be postponed. This additional time will ensure every entry receives the attention it deserves.

The MODE Family’s Thoughts on the Contest So Far

For the remaining members of the MODE Family, the Contest remains a deeply personal project: one rooted in remembrance of the Sigfig and Val, and an underlying message calling for resilience and addressing adult bullying.

EvilMode stated, in response to the songs offered by the 32 Acts:

Man, this thing has been lit. I never thought we’d be able to put something like this at this scale together - to see these Acts take it seriously makes the whole thing. Of course, I know who I wanna see in the Finals; I know who I want to win, but I can’t be mad at any of ‘em. Whoever gets in, I hope they know what this whole thing means, and why it’s so important.

B. Bee shared her thoughts:

I’ve loved seeing the range of songs and the different ways [the Acts] have approached the theme. Yeah, it’s been emotional, but in a good way. I have a few Acts I want to see in the Finals, but I’m trying not to get ahead of myself.

WhiteMode commented on the importance of the Contest:

[CATAWOL Records] has really stepped up and brought the talent to the Contest, and they really care about making it the best experience and spreading the core message. The Finals are going to matter so much: every single one of these Acts deserves to make it, and I know whichever ones go through, they’re going to bring it. We’re never going to see anything like this again, and I know the Sigfig and Val would be so proud.

Rille added her perspective as a music fan:

I keep thinking, it’s hard to choose which ones I want to win! They’re all so good, and it’s been really moving to watch this whole thing grow. For me, the best songs are the ones that feel honest, and I would love to see that kind of sincerity carry into the Finals. Yes, it’s good to have these amazing songs, but whatever happens, the message is bigger than the competition.

None of the MODE Family members is involved or has any influence in the judging process.

Preparations are Underway

Adding to the delay in announcing the Finals were concerns about the F.O.L.D.’s activities related to the Contest.

CATAWOL Records confirms that allegations of voting interference were thoroughly investigated and have been resolved. Additional safeguards are now in place to ensure that the Contest remains fair and impartial as it moves forward.

While details are being kept a closely guarded secret, CATAWOL Records can reveal that some of the Acts advancing to the Finals have received confirmation and are now working on their updated songs.

What Happens Next

The official outcome of the Knockouts Stage will be revealed in due course, immediately followed by a countdown to the Finals once preparations are complete.

As always, CATAWOL Records encourages fans, supporters and followers of the Contest to stay tuned for updates, continue backing the project, and remain engaged as Real Figures Don’t F.O.L.D heads toward its decisive next phase.
