Dramatic Grand Winner Reveal Set for Today

CATAWOL Records’ Real Figures Don’t F.O.L.D Song Contest reaches its decisive finish today at 6PM GMT, when the Finals results will be unveiled in a special YouTube premiere.

After weeks of competition, the remaining ten Acts campaigned for public votes to secure the Grand Winner title and three Runner-Up places, with the winning Song set to become the Contest’s official anthem.

The closing broadcast will also feature a world-exclusive music video featuring a never-heard-before version of the Song from Fuldeq ft. QoS: the CATAWOL Records Act behind the Contest’s official theme.

Anticipation is building across the label and among fans alike. The Finals brought together a striking mix of styles, rivalries and personalities, and insiders say the result could still go either way.

The Favourites Still Command Attention

The label insiders’ outside favourites to win the Contest, Bryknii and High School Dropout, continue to dominate the conversation.

As arguably the label’s biggest and most popular Act, Bryknii has long been viewed as one of the Contest’s most formidable forces, with many seeing the Grand Winner title as hers to lose.

Although High School Dropout’s Finals entry was due to independent judgement rather than public voting, it has built serious momentum, with its defiant energy and close connection to the Contest’s wider message resonating strongly.

Many label insiders believe the strong Finals showing puts these certainties at risk, but some have faith in the early predictions.

Bryknii naturally draws attention, and she knows exactly how to control a room, which is essential for conveying a message. But High School Dropout has that raw, emotional pull, because they have the most personal stake in the Contest.

Dissenters within the label believe the Finals could reward a different kind of strength.

Soline Bellefort is powerful, and her place in the Finals confirmed she has admiration, even from those who find her intimidating. Synth & Son were first to qualify, and they’re recognised for their warmth and collaborative spirit. Axel King [and The Roses] received praise and respect for their grit and the purpose behind their blues-rock reinvention.

Another insider noted:

It comes down to what the Acts are being judged on. If it’s about artistry, Soline is impossible to ignore. If it’s about connection and goodwill, you’re talking about Synth & Son. If it’s about performance, I’ve got two names: Axel and the Magenta Men. Hands down.

Rivalries, Reputation and Momentum

The Finals have also sharpened the Contest’s most talked-about tensions.

Cielo Groove and Saima Gaines brought style and musical conviction to the Stage, with Saima’s determination to prove herself a compelling narrative, independent of her ongoing rivalry with Bryknii.

Westbound continue to attract strong support thanks to their broad appeal and confident delivery, while the Magenta Men remain one of the most unpredictable entries in the Finals.

Barbershop quartet The Forty Twos have kept fans debating whether their bold confidence is justified, with their most loyal fans adamant that they should take the title.

SoraNami has emerged as a quietly compelling wildcard, and the biggest surprise of the Contest, with the potential to win over viewers looking for something more understated.

A label source commented that the breadth of the Finals is part of what has made this Contest so effective:

Every Act in the Finals has a case to make, and a reason why they should be the Grand Winner. That’s what makes the result so exciting: there isn’t just one obvious story, but there are several, and any of them could define the outcome.

A Statement From CATAWOL Records

A CATAWOL Records spokesperson relayed the label’s eagerness for the premiere and celebrated what the Contest has already achieved.

We’re counting down to the premiere with real excitement. The Finals have showcased extraordinary talent, strong personalities and a genuine sense of purpose.
Whatever the result, every Act in this line-up has helped carry the Contest’s message forward and shown how music can challenge bullying in hobby spaces with honesty and creativity.
We’re also thrilled to share a world-exclusive music video as part of the broadcast, giving fans one more unforgettable surprise before the results are revealed.
